The Masterpiece from Gabriel Garcia Marquez

According to this article in The Guardian (UK), One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the most significant (influential) books in many, many years. Most people will have no argument with that assessment. Other books included on the list will raise some eyebrows. As for me, I will not waste any more time by singling out the bizarre books mentioned along with Gabo’s. The glaring anomalies ought to be obvious to even the most indiscriminate reader. The Guardian’s list tends to prove what is simultaneously right and wrong with most book lists.
