Readers will pay more for eBooks with music and multimedia in it

Through a recent survey, Cathedral Rock Publishing has discovered that eBook readers support additional content, such as music, audio and video, and are willing to pay more for this additional interactive content.
The survey of 105 users, conducted over July and August 2011, asked several questions to understand why readers do – or don’t – access eBook content.

Amazon Announces 70-Percent Revenue Share Terms

Amazon.com, Inc. announced that magazine and newspaper publishers will soon be eligible to earn a larger share of revenue from each title they sell in the Kindle Store (www.amazon.com/kindlestore). For each magazine or newspaper sold, publishers will be able to earn 70 percent of the retail price, net of delivery costs.

Getting a hold of an independent review can be tough, because newspaper print editions with book reviews are becoming scarcer, and several of the remaining book reviews don’t review many children’s or young adult books.
Now, help is available instantly, thanks to a highly useful iPhone book review application called Kids Book Review, developed by Heidi Komlofske and Ross Rojek of 1776 Productions of Sacramento, CA.
“In a time when print newspaper book review sections are on the decline, 1776 Productions is challenging the trend,” says Komlofske.
